If so, you’ve come to the right place that will show you how to be a great web designer through simple tips that will help improve how you communicate with people. Read on and get educated about becoming that web designer you’ve always wanted to be. In order to be a great web designer, you must be able to communicate your vision to your team. Explain clearly what the common goal is, and instill a vision of success in the group. Getting everyone working together on something they all believe in cements your web designing role in the group. Always tell others how much they, and their work, mean to you. It does not take long to write a note of thanks, but it might mean the world to someone who’s working for you. Giving someone this kind of acknowledgment is going to lift moods and it doesn’t cost you anything to do. Treat all of your employees well and never get involved in office gossip. Employees are usually happier in an environment where their work is appreciated and valued on the same level as any other employee. Spend time working with all of your employees so that you understand each person’s contribution. Be a communicator. Communication is a major aspect of what makes great web designing. If you can’t communicate your goals and vision, then what is there for your employees to follow at all? If you have a tendency to “loan wolf” at work, break out of that habit and begin communicating with your teams. Just because you think you are web designer does not mean that people will follow you. In order to be a good web designer and have good web designing skills, you must be able to make people understand what you want them to do. The information you just learned about gave you good ideas that will help get people to follow your lead. http://ift.tt/2uoOaCM http://ift.tt/2u8wqjE http://ift.tt/2uoOaTi http://ift.tt/2u8mwyM

16 common on-site SEO mistakes you might be making right now

SEO is more than inbound marketing. There’s massive overlap, but there’s a technical side to SEO that sometimes gets neglected, especially by casual followers of the industry. As somebody who spends a great deal of time looking at sites searching for opportunities to optimize, I notice patterns that creep up often: technical mistakes that show up again and again. Let’s go over these mistakes. If my experience is anything to go by, odds are high you’re making at least one of them. 1. Nofollowing your own URLs There comes a time in every SEO’s life when they need to keep a page hidden from the search results — to prevent duplicate content issues, to hide member areas, to keep thin content pages out of the index, to hide archives and internal search result pages, during an A/B test and so on. This is perfectly innocent, perfectly noble and perfectly necessary. However… … do not use the “nofollow” tag to accomplish this! The “nofollow” Search Engine Land Source

This script creates Google Slides with AdWords data to automate your presentation-making

Google just introduced its latest advanced API integration for AdWords Scripts: Google Slides. That means you can now programmatically connect AdWords with Google Slides. Leo Sei, Google’s Product Manager for AdWords Scripts, told me why they created this new integration: “The goal of AdWords Scripts is to help advertisers automate their workflow. After talking with advertisers, we found that many share scripts output through slide decks, and this involved a manual step of copying AdWords data into the presentation. So we worked hard to integrate Slides API directly in Scripts to allow advertisers to automate the entire process.” I feel I’ve been saying this a lot lately, but here’s yet another new capability from Google that can help us with PPC reporting. And considering the amount of time the average account manager spends preparing reports for stakeholders, any new technology that has the ability to automate some of this work is worth looking into. So, let me show you how Search Engine Land Source

3 ways to use search query data from Google Search Console

In my last column, I covered how you can use Google’s Search Console to learn about the health of your website. Search Console has another helpful report, called Search Analytics, which gives you an overview of how your website is performing in Google’s organic (non-paid) search results — namely, it shows some of the search queries people used to click through to your website. In this column, I’ll explain how to read the report. I’ll also share a few simple strategies on how small business owners can use it to improve a website’s non-paid Google search results and website marketing in general. How to read the Search Analytics report To access the report, log into Search Console, and then click “Search Traffic” in the left-hand navigation. Search Analytics is the first report listed within this menu option. If you’re not able to access Search Console, it may be because you have to verify your website first.
